Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the introduction of advanced hospitals in Pakistan modeled after China’s healthcare system. During his visit to Beijing, he toured the renowned Anzhen Hospital, where he observed its high-tech medical facilities and efficient service systems. He praised the hospital’s modern infrastructure, robotic technology, and patient care standards.
The prime minister received a detailed briefing on the use of cutting-edge medical technologies at Anzhen Hospital. Impressed by its design and operations, he instructed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to replicate this model in Pakistan. Specifically, he emphasized adopting similar structures for the under-construction Jinnah Medical Complex and other hospitals in Islamabad.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of delivering quality healthcare based on China’s successful model. He called for simple, strong, and sustainable infrastructure in Pakistan’s healthcare projects. According to him, the ongoing development of hospitals must focus on patient-centered technology and reliable services.
The prime minister highlighted that all new hospitals under development should match the quality and standards seen in China. He urged officials to prioritize this initiative and ensure quick implementation. The goal is to transform public healthcare and provide advanced medical services to every citizen.
Accompanying the prime minister were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and other top officials. Their presence underlined the government’s strong commitment to healthcare reform and innovation.
