KARACHI: Provincial Excise Department’s Intelligence wing recovered 408 bottle of illicit liquor in a raid on Saturday.
According to a statement from the department, a case has been registered and investigations are underway. It said that on the directives of provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control – Mukesh Kumar Chawla – a drive against the sale of illicit liquor was in progress.
A team from the department was directed to conduct a raid on an empty house in Karachi – which gave fruitful results as it recovered 408 bottles of illicit liquor.
